No Parking
This is a short that showcases a 1:1 scale model that I created, and my first attempt at 3D camera tracking and automated rotoscoping.

To create “No Parking”, I wrote a simple script, had plates of myself and the environment shot outside school. Photographed a panorama to use as an High Dynamic Range Image (HDRI) to later light the CG TARDIS. Modeled a 1:1 scale replica of a TARDIS in Onshape, and textured it in Blender using procedural materials.
Used the 3D camera tracker in After Effects (AE) on the footage and used the AE2 Blend addon to import that camera data into Blender. Placed the CG TARDIS into the camera tracked Blender scene, lit by the HDRI of the school. Rendered using Cycles in a PNG sequence.
Created the No Parking sign in Photopea. Used the Rotobrush in AE for the first time, hence the fuzziness around myself. Used tracked masks in AE to mask the TARDIS behind the walls and railing of the school.
