CG Bus Composite for Mean Girls Live Projection

For this live production of Mean Girls, I created a custom animated video backdrop by integrating a 3D animated school bus into live-action footage for a stage projection environment. Using KeenTools GeoTracker, I tracked and matchmoved the original camera plate to accurately recreate the camera motion and perspective of the shot. I then animated the 3D school bus in Blender and composited the final sequence in After Effects for seamless integration into the live-action scene. This project focused on blending VFX techniques with live theater production design, combining camera tracking, 3D animation, and compositing to create a dynamic cinematic backdrop that enhanced the storytelling and energy of the stage performance.
